Not even just Hitler, but the Japanese internment camps here in the United States in WWII, the gulags in the former Soviet Union, etc.

The solution to a group of people one dislikes is pretty much never cramming them in a cage.

As for the education piece, the only solid treatment of the question of German evil was in that WWII course, and the answer was pretty much, "No, but here's a lot of why this got out of hand..."
