I do have posts about Gally in the works, but the truth is that writing them up is going to be kind of time intensive, and it's going to have to wait until a little later this week. It's coming, though!

The one thing I do have to write about is my ears. They ached a little landing in LA, and again in Phoenix. STL, though, was like having icepicks jammed into my ears, or having my head crushed. By the time the plane had landed, the world sounded like I had a blanket wrapped around my head. Any pop or crack was painful and horrid.

It wasn't any better this morning, so I bought some non-drowsy Sudafed. When it wasn't better by lunch, I asked permission to duck out at 4 to hit Urgent Care, where I was told that I didn't just have airplane ear. I've got two hellacious ear infections.

Joy.

So now I've got pills. And I will, barring disaster, be hearing again and comfortable in a handful of days. But dude, I am so fortunate that I had the $75 dollars that it took me with insurance at a clinic owned by my employer to be seen same-day and pay for medication. An ear infection with the sort and severity I have in my right ear right now can cause everything from eardrum perforation to brain abscesses and meningitis.

Earaches aside, though, I really do love flying. I'll just need to make sure my sinuses are in better condition next time and try to take direct flights whenever possible so I'm not up and down and pissing off my middle ears any more than necessary.

Oh, and I was diagnosed by a Dr. Tran. I disavow any and all knowledge on the topic of hot dickings.
