This is my life, people.
May. 21st, 2010 09:01 pmThe last two weeks have been, with the exception of Wednesday, quite high-intensity at the dayjob. I came straight home from work this afternoon and flat-out crashed for about three hours.
Not long after I woke up, Housemate J was all, “I will give you $20 if you go to the store and buy ice cream and hot dogs.”
Not one to pass up an opportunity like that (esp. since I was unable to make meatloaf tonight on account of us having almost no ketchup), I took him up on it. I used the remains of the $20 to buy ketchup (obviously), some dried noodles for slow-cooked pasta (I’m looking at you, Sam Starbuck), and then (because I was lamenting the fact that I will probably run out before Wednesday) I decided to make the extra trip to Clover’s for more tasty local milk.
I might have, uh…well, I may have slipped and bought a tomato plant.
I call her Vera.
So yeah, tomorrow will be all about begging my mother for potting soil and drilling drainage holes in a big orange plastic bucket. If this works I will soon have ALL THE TOMATOES EVER.
(Also, I had an awesome conversation about milk bottle deposits and the zombie apocalypse with the cashier. She started it. I have seriously got to shop Clover’s more often.)
