There’s a Thundercats t-shirt in my closet. It isn’t ironic.

Along with Voltron, it was one of the shows I watched near-religiously as a child. When Burger King did a Thundercats toy promotion, my long-suffering mother drove me onto Ft. Leonard Wood to the only BK within thirty miles so I could get a Kids’ Meal so I could get the glow-in-the-dark puffy lightswitch sticker and flicker ring.

Today I found out that one of the writing team for Thundercats, Steve Perry, has been both terribly sick and in serious need for a while. Hero Initiative has given him some assistance, but according to Steve Bissette, he is still very much in a bad way, and it sounds like his trip to MegaCon that he hoped might help has in fact done the opposite.

If you’re so moved, and have a few dollars to spare, you can send Perry a bit of scratch via his PayPal account (sandramaples48 @ yahoo.com).
