08:10:22: I have managed a short term solution with the netbook. However, I'll have send it away to HP repair eventually for a reinstall.
08:11:35: Also, this reaffirms my plan to upgrade to a slightly shinier, newer mini. I may be able to make that happen in a couple of weeks.
08:12:40: If I do that, I'll still have the first one fixed, but then donate it to National Novel Writing Month.
08:16:17: For those asking about longhand, I do some drafting by hand on occasion, but the real work happens in a word processor.
08:17:04: Also, my entire novel draft and an entire folder of works in progress are in electronic format, and I need access to those in order to work.
08:17:54: (The exception is poetry, which I usually draft by hand, and rarely have electronic copies of unless I'm submitting it somewhere.)
08:33:11: Have just seen a call for writers that includes the words "Cthulhurotica." I'm either terribly amused or have lost my final SAN point.
