...should be resuming shortly. August, like December and May, are big and disruptive months. The last three weeks have been a complete blur. I'm only just beginning to be able to tell the days of the week apart again.

One of the things I'm doing this week to help me crawl back into my head is revisiting two of my favorite, now-defunct web comics: Bobbins and Scary Go Round. I actually quit reading SGR in 2004 when my work/life balance shifted, so it'll be nice to catch up and see how SGR ends. It looks like John Allison has a new project going these days called Bad Machinery, which I haven't dipped into yet but looks interesting.

I'll be the first to admit that reading 11 years of comic strip backlog on a whim sounds kind of bizarre, but I'm the guy who once wore a red wig and a skull t-shirt on Halloween and shouted "HEY, DARK SPIRITS! CONVERGE ON US! WE'VE GOT A WHOLE BAR OF CADBURY'S FRUIT AND NUT!" in J.C. Hay's living room.

Actually, that still sounds kind of bizarre. Er.
