Something else to add to your lists, and why I hate November right about now.

This week I got news that the Women’s Voices in Magic anthology is out. I’m not in it (for what are, one hopes, pretty obvious reasons), but Erynn Rowan Laurie is, and she’s fantastic. (Also, Lupa? Are you in this too?)

I’m obviously adding this to the list of this year’s things friends and I are in that you can score in time for your preferred winter festival (or other gift-giving event), but since it’s a late addition I thought I’d point it out.

In other news, November has been one of those months where I get frustrated with my output. Not soul-crushingly so, but I came into this 30 days ago thinking I’d finish everything. Instead, I’ve made a lot of progress on a lot of things and come out of it Still Not Done.

I’m really, really not complaining about progress. I just like that little boost that being done gives me. Without it, I find it hard to persevere. If I don’t get my fix I go crazy and start a bunch of new things, which just undermines the whole process.

Tonight’s plan: fortify myself with chocolate and/or beer and then finish something. Anything. With extreme prejudice if need be. My cup runneth a little too much over and the only way to move on is to nail it.
