The Oncoming Squeak
Dec. 12th, 2009 12:55 pmJust got back from the School of Medicine with a pair of albino weanling rats. They're a pair of boys from a Sprague-Dawley1 line being used in OB/GYN research on endometriosis. The researcher didn't need them (on account of the lack of uterus and all), so they went up for adoption. Both of them are very sweet. One of them actually fell asleep in my hand when I met him. This bodes very well.
Names are forthcoming. I've got some ideas, but I want to get to know them a little better first. Pictures too if I can get my camera to cooperate.
But yes! Itty! Squeaky!

1 Fancy rats and laboratory rats are similar, but lab strains are specially bred for scientific purposes. Sprague-Dawley rats are a common multipurpose strain established in 1925.
