Having just eaten some Uncle Ray's Roasted Garlic flavor potato chips (79 cents for a 1.75 oz bag), I may well have a breath weapon. But it's a happy breath weapon. Mmm.

I was up at 4:30 this morning for the first time in ages because my work day started before 7:30, which meant I needed to catch a 6:25 bus. I didn't trust myself to get up on the first try, but sure enough I was up like a shot the minute the alarm went off. So I used that magical time to catch up on a couple of things, do some digital errands, and chat on Twitter, which was nice.

I've caught wind of the Holmes homophobia issue and the Reals of Fantasy women's issue things and am sort of charting out some bloggage on them for Dimlight, probably later today. Believe me when I say I've got thoughts about both of these things.

Also, the Courage Campaign is asking for signatures in support of televising the upcoming Propositon 8 trial. This is important because it ensures a higher level of transparency to the proceedings. Deadline on this is Friday.

[livejournal.com profile] yuki_onna linked to Kerouac's Belief & Technique For Modern Prose, which I hadn't seen in ages. I'm sharing it here because it makes my writer self nod vigorously. Not on all points, but many, and that's enough to feel brave and inspired.

Spent a substantial portion of the last three days working with/around a crew of movers. I was surprised at how much more comfortable I am these days around workmen, though traveling with a pack of guys who (at least present as) cisgendered straight guys felt a bit like an anthropology assignment.
