There are, of course, a bajillion really wonderful, thoughtful articles and posts going around about good learning experiences and awesome plural relationships and sex positivity and what have you. About half of them make me wish my circumstances were different. They are not. That is (mostly) okay. And I am (mostly) okay with that.
Just please, refrain from trying to involve me directly. Just...no. Seriously. Just don't.
By all means, enjoy the day if you're in a position to enjoy it this year. Discuss it within earshot. I can and will even be happy for you! Just please respect that my threshold is staggeringly low this year, and that even well-intentioned reaching-out aimed at making me feel 'less left-out' is the exact opposite of what I need.
