The mule does not carry Paul but the bag.

The mule does not like the wood.
Mulus slivam non amat.

Paul does not like the mule.

The food is in the bag.
Cibus est in sarcina.

Paul is a monk.
Paulus monachus est.

The mule walks with the monk.
