A post about Things That Are Awesome

I post a lot of worried, angry stuff about discrimination and rights and things that are on fire. Which, while sometimes necessary (and apparently a really consistent feature of human communication according to memetics) is maybe not always the best thing.
Today I shall post only good things.
From the National Library of Ireland, a browsable online version of an exhibition on the life and work of W.B. Yeats. (Requires Flash)
The Treble Entendre website is live! They’ve got video and downloads of Inception: The Musical, and are currently raising money to workshop a production called Dogboy & Justine (which you can support by pledging here). Check them out. I <3 them.
I kind of love Michelle Obama. We haven’t had a First Lady like her in decades. (Also, while I’m not sure about the veracity of the claim that the peoples of India believe that “reticence to join the dance floor is seen as a troubling sign of a possible character flaw,” I know I certainly lean in that direction these days.)
A fascinating — and legally very grey — attempt to make use of abandoned properties during the recession/mortgage crisis.
Also, an automatically updating status widget for the NaNovel:
Yeah, I’m a little behind. It happens. Still, I’m writing and I’m happy about where I’m going. That is all that matters.
