The Rules:
1. People who have been tagged must write the answers on their blog and replace any question they dislike with a new, original question.
2. Tag eight people. Don't refuse to do that. Don't tag who tagged you.
I'm pretty lackadaisical with tagging, actually. I'm not really up for it. It stresses me out. If you can read this, and you want to do the thing, do the thing.
01. Make a list of 5 things you can see without getting up.
- My "ego shelf" with copies of most of the books and magazines I've got stuff in.
- A pencil with a sculpted elephant on it.
- My shrines.
- My rats.
- An afghan my mom crocheted for me a few years ago.
02. How do you style your hair?
Badly, and mostly by accident.
03. What are wearing now?
Navy blue boxer briefs, a black t-shirt, and a vacant expression. I should probably go find my glasses.
04. What's your occupation?
I'm the not-so-mythical writer with a day job.
05. What do you hear right now?
My netbook's cooling fan.
06. What's your favorite guilty pleasure treat?
Cheap, sweet red wine. Preferably in an empty house with Rufus Wainwright playing at an unacceptable volume.
07. What are you thinking about right now?
Waking up so I can work an a secret project that's due soon.
08. Write the first word that comes to mind.
Pigeons.
09. Dog person or cat person?
Dogs all the way. It's not that I don't like cats, but they're my kryptonite and actually can kill me.
10. If you came across $2000 (or other currency) would you keep it or turn it in?
I think that depends on the circumstances. Like, in a wallet? Turn it in. Buried treasure? Call an expert. In my desk drawer? Er...
Basically, investigate and turn it in unless or until I can make a legitimate claim, at which point I'd relinquish or keep it as appropriate.
11. What was the last thing you bought?
A packet of Planter's trail mix and an energy drink from a vending machine. Technically two packets of trail mix, actually, because the first one caught in the machine.
12. If you could afford to go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Hard to say. I've got a long list of places I'd like to visit. Maybe write them all down and put them in a hat and draw one? Or maybe just go to Wales because I've got at least two good reasons to give it precedence?
13. Where do you see yourself in 5 minutes?
Here, at my desk, writing.
14. Last book you read?
Whedonistas.
15. What are you doing this weekend?
Writing, going to the library, eating and sleeping, TW rewatch, not necessarily in that order. I know, right? GLAM. Oh, and I may try to catch some sort of lunch thing with an advocacy group tomorrow.
16. If you could play any musical instrument, which one would you play?
Not sure, actually. I've done bouts with the recorder, French Horn, guitar, and bass guitar. I've not really touched any of those in ages, and would probably have to start over. I also recently built a didgeridoo out of PVC pipe and beeswax, but I'm still having trouble getting the embouchure right. Considering putting some cash away to get myself a small harp as a graduation gift. If do that, I suppose that's the one I'd most like to be able to play!
17. How are you?
I appear to be alive, mostly. This is exciting overall.
18. What's the last song you listened to on purpose?
The Bravery, "An Honest Mistake"
19. What are you looking forward to the most?
Graduation, probably. It's been a long trek, and getting there means I'll have survived April, which is looking to be kind of intense.
