12:14:33: Mom & I are settled in the ER. They're doing tests, so we're in a boring phase. How this can be when anxiety is so high is a great mystery.
12:15:23: Also, mom has gone to sleep, so I'm working on my capstone paper. Because it's due at 7 PM. We call this confirmation bias, incidentally.
12:16:00: (And no, my prof is not a sadist and holding me to that deadline, but I feel better having something to do.)
13:55:45: Still in the ER. One nephrologist, one cardiologist, now two blue-scrubbed residents. Moving to admit her overnight.
13:56:17: Best part of my day: reflexively saying "It's never Lupus" to the nephrologist.
15:00:02: And now we're up on the floor getting situated. A whole new crop of nurses to educate about how little my mom can hear them.
