I have just seen the mid-series finale for Doctor Who

And I will not be saying anything else about it here except that with one exception, this episode was the most amazingly amazing thing I have seen in a long time. It was like watching one of those cat's cradle tricks where you do all kinds of laborious and difficult things with a bit of string and then pull on it and, presto! A thing!

Steven Moffat, I promise that if I am even in a position to buy you a drink I will not, in fact, throw it on you.

Well, unless I trip or something embarrassing, which for me is an actual risk. In which case I will apologize and offer to assist with the dry cleaning.

Unrelatedly, I just caught something that looks like a giraffe weevil. On my sofa. The hell?! (ETA: It can't be a giraffe weevil because I am not in New Zealand. It is, however, definitely some kind of weevil. Time to check the pantry, I suppose.)
