It's mid-November, and as a consequence of falling off the face of the Internet, I've been remiss in giving updates, whether I met my goals by November 1, and what next steps look like.
As of now, the ING account is sitting at $3740 and some change. I've got a bit set aside from another donation that's earmarked for handling various preparatory things (the remainder of which will be rolled into the fund when those are completed), someone who's willing to be a surgery buddy in Cleveland if I go there instead of Kansas City, and someone else who has offered to assist with travel. The good news is that I'm close. The bad news is that I'm not quite there yet.
The plan as of now is that I'm going to put active fundraising on hold for the next couple of months. Donors who are owed shiny things should start seeing them right around the new year. I'm going to regroup, keep putting what I can in the account each month, and then we'll see where things are in February. I will, as I have time, get things rolling on eBay again -- October was not a month conducive to maintaining that! -- but that'll be a thing running in the background instead of a way of life for now.
