Not so much formally committing to the specific festival as strategically caving to the desire to press a perfectly innocent (and long-suffering) Norfolk Island Pine into service.
Is it a Solstice Tree? My week-long Saturnalia green? Which one of the dogs gets to be the Lord of Misrule? Do I just want a good dinner and presents a few days earlier than I'm likely to get them?
NOBODY KNOWS.
